‘Flightcase’ for SkateDance Amsterdam
Together with Joris Wintgens we designed and built moveable and solid organizers for Skatedance Amsterdam. They organize rollerskating classes and workshops in the Netherlands for different sizes of groups and events. To easily transport multiple pairs of skates, we came up with these rolling cabinets. One cabinet can fit 24 pairs, so with multiple cabinets, you can easily adjust to the size of the group/event.
The cabinets are very suitable for events, keeping the skates safe during transport while being closed, and if opened really easily to pick the right size for all the users.
Working with this particular plywood made it possible to create a lightweight and sturdy cabinet system, working as a kind of flightcase for the skates.
